Dickerson, Trey
Easley, Jamie
Jamie Easley coaches defensive backs at South Panola High School. He also teaches U.S. Government. This is his first year at SPHS. He spent six years at Calhoun City High School before coming to South Panola. He graduated from Bruce High and got his degree from Delta State University. When he is not at the football field; he enjoys spending time with his family and playing golf. His wife, Kerry Easley, teaches within the South Panola School District also. Together they have one son C. J. Easley.
Harper, Heath
Coach Harper is new to the South Panola staff, having just moved to Batesville from Champaign, IL. He is a graduate of Hamilton High School, Bevill State Community College, and the University of North Alabama. Coach Harper teaches U.S. Government, Economics, and World Geography. Coach Harper and his wife Kayla have two dogs, Brodie and Spencer.

This year Coach Arnie Oakes began his eleventh season with the South Panola Tigers. He first came to SPHS in 1998. He has been part of every SP State Championship except the 1993 season, and he has six state rings to show for his efforts. Oakes coached the offensive line his first three seasons, and then was moved to defense to coach linebackers his fourth season with a head coaching change in 2002. Coach Oakes began coaching tight ends and remained with them the next six seasons. Coach Oakes is presently coaching the running backs and running the Scout Offense. Coach Oakes coaches the Boys Power Lifting Team during the spring. They have several districts North Half and state runner up championship over his eleven years. Coach Oakes is married to Pat Oakes who also teaches math and coaches the girls power lifting team at SP. The Oakes have three sons, South, Kole, and Sawyer. Coach Oakes would like to thank the faculty and community for all their support over the years.
Pogue, Lance
Coach Lance Pogue is the SPHS Head Football Coach and Athletic Director. This is Coach Pogue’s second season with the Tigers. Pogue led his team to the 2007 5-A State Championship and the Sports Illustrated 3rd in the nation honor. Before coming to SPHS, Pogue was the head football coach and athletic director at Eupora HS where that team was the 2002 2-A state runner-up. A native of Eupora and graduate of Eupora HS, Pogue attended Delta State where he earned both a BA and MA degrees. He played junior college football, and in fact, his team was the 1988 state runner-up. Coach Pogue is married to Dixie Pogue, and they have two children, Tyler (10) and Meleah (5).
Rice, Jerry
Rice comes to SPHS from North Panola where he taught and coached for two years after spending one year coaching at Lafayette. This is Rice’s first year at SPHS. He graduated from Ole Miss where he started for three years as tight end for the Rebels. His home town is Starkville, MS where he graduated from Starkville High School. Rice also teaches World Geography.

Stewart, William
William Stewart is in his second year at South Panola. He is a native of Pontotoc, MS where he played football, baseball, power lifting, and track. He was all-state two years in track. Stewart attended at Mississippi Valley State where he played football and started for four years. He also graduated with honors. After college he had tryout/workouts with NFL, Arena, and Arena 2 teams. Stewart coached football for one season at Benedict College in Colombia S.C. He also coached four years at Pontotoc High School. In addition to his coaching duties, Coach Stewart teaches Drivers Ed.
